The agreement between you and us for using Tralupo. The part that matters most is section 3: what an AI-generated plan is, what it is not, and where the responsibility for checking it sits.

1. This agreement

These terms are a contract between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] (“we”, “us”) covering your use of the Tralupo mobile application and this website (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Tralupo, and old enough in your own country to agree to a contract like this one without a parent or guardian. If you are using Tralupo on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

Our privacy policy forms part of this agreement. Apple’s own terms also apply to your download of the app and to any purchase you make through it.

2. Your account

Signing in uses a one-time code sent to your email address, so there is no password. Keep access to that mailbox secure: anyone who can read it can sign in as you. Tell us at [CONTACT EMAIL] if you believe someone else has accessed your account.

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for the accuracy of what you give us. One account per person; do not share it or transfer it.

3. AI-generated plans

Tralupo builds itineraries using a third-party large language model, combined with automated research about your destination. This section sets out what that means in practice. Please read it.

The essential point

An itinerary produced by Tralupo is a suggestion, not verified travel information, and not advice you should rely on without checking. You are responsible for confirming anything that matters before you act on it.

3.1 It can be wrong

Language models generate plausible text; they do not know facts. A plan can contain incorrect opening hours, prices, closure dates, ticketing rules, addresses, distances and travel times, and it may recommend a place that has changed, moved or closed. Grounding the research step in web sources reduces this. It does not eliminate it, and we do not warrant that any part of a plan is accurate, complete or current.

3.2 Check before you rely on it

Before you act on any part of a plan, confirm it with the venue, operator or official source — in particular opening hours, closures, admission, prices, booking requirements, transport times and safety or entry requirements.

3.3 Dietary, allergen and accessibility needs

Tralupo lets you record needs such as a nut allergy, gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, halal or kosher requirements, step-free access, avoiding stairs, or keeping walking light, and it uses them to shape your plan.

We do not verify, inspect or certify any venue against those needs. A suggestion is not a representation that a restaurant can safely serve you, that a site is accessible, or that any certification applies. If you have an allergy, dietary restriction, medical condition or access requirement, you must confirm it directly with the venue before relying on it. Tralupo is not a substitute for medical, dietary or accessibility advice.

3.4 We do not book anything

Tralupo is a planning tool. It does not make reservations, buy tickets, hold inventory, or act as a travel agent, tour operator or agent for any venue. It takes no payment on any venue’s behalf and is not party to any arrangement you make with a third party. Locking a stop in Tralupo protects it inside your plan — it does not create, hold or confirm a booking anywhere in the real world.

3.5 You stay in control

Tralupo proposes changes; it does not apply them by itself. A replan is presented to you as a set of proposed changes, and nothing is applied to your plan until you accept it. You are free to edit, ignore or discard anything it suggests.

3.6 Third-party information

Plans may include information originating from third-party sources found during automated research, and links to third-party services such as maps. We do not control or endorse those sources or services, and we are not responsible for their content, accuracy or availability.

4. What you put in

You keep ownership of the information you give Tralupo — your answers, trip details and anything you type. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process and transmit that information, and to send it to the providers listed in our privacy policy, only so far as is needed to operate the Service for you, keep it secure, and comply with the law. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must retain by law.

Do not put anything into Tralupo that you do not have the right to share, and please do not enter other people’s personal details or your own sensitive information beyond what the app asks for.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break the law, or use Tralupo to plan or facilitate anything unlawful;
  • attempt to access another user’s account or data;
  • probe, scan, overload or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure, or circumvent any rate limit, paywall or security measure;
  • scrape, harvest or bulk-extract content, or use automated means to access the Service outside the app;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source code, prompts or models behind the Service, except where the law expressly permits it;
  • use the Service to develop a competing product, or to train a machine-learning model on its output;
  • submit content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes anyone’s rights;
  • attempt to manipulate the model into producing harmful, unlawful or deceptive output, or to disclose its instructions;
  • resell, sublicense or commercially redistribute the Service or its output without our written permission.

6. Subscriptions and payment

Some features may require a paid subscription. Planning a trip is available without payment, and manual edits to your own plan are always free — moving, swapping, locking and removing stops yourself is never behind a paywall.

Product and pricing

Current products, prices, trial terms and what each includes: [SUBSCRIPTION TERMS — product, price, trial length, renewal period]. The price and terms shown to you in the App Store at the time of purchase are the ones that apply.

Payment is handled by Apple. All purchases are made through your Apple ID using Apple’s in-app purchase system. We never see or store your payment card details. Purchase and entitlement status is managed for us by RevenueCat, which receives a pseudonymous account identifier and never your email address.

Auto-renewal. Where a subscription renews automatically, it continues until you cancel and renews at the interval and price shown at purchase. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period through your Apple ID subscription settings — cancelling in the App Store is the only way to stop a renewal, and deleting your Tralupo account does not cancel it.

Free trials. Where a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited if you buy a subscription during the trial. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged.

Refunds. Purchases made through the App Store are subject to Apple’s refund policy, and refund requests go to Apple, not to us. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

Restoring purchases. Signing in on a new device and using “restore purchases” re-links an existing entitlement to your account.

We may change prices or what a plan includes. Where a change affects an active subscription, we will give you notice before it applies to your next renewal so you can cancel if you would rather not continue.

7. Intellectual property

The Service — including the software, design, brand, name, logo, interface, and the prompts and systems that produce plans — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own trip planning. Nothing else is granted.

You may use the itineraries generated for you freely for your own travel, including sharing them with the people you are travelling with. You may not present the Service’s output as your own commercial product, or use it to build a competing service.

Because a model can produce similar output for similar inputs, we make no claim that your itinerary is unique, and we cannot grant you exclusivity over it.

8. Feedback

If you send us suggestions, bug reports or ideas, you allow us to use them without restriction or obligation to you. We will not treat feedback as confidential unless we agree otherwise in writing, so please do not send us anything you need kept secret.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Tralupo running well but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Parts of it depend on third-party providers, including the AI provider, and can be unavailable or degraded for reasons outside our control. We may add, change, suspend or withdraw features, and may impose reasonable usage limits to keep the Service workable and affordable.

Generating and replanning need a connection. Reading a plan you already have does not: your active trip is stored on your device so it stays readable offline.

Where a release is labelled beta, preview or TestFlight, it is provided for testing, may change or break, and may lose data. Do not depend on it for a real trip.

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

We specifically do not warrant that plans, place details, times, prices or travel durations are accurate or current, that a recommended venue is open, safe, suitable, accessible or able to meet a dietary or allergen requirement, or that using Tralupo will produce any particular outcome for your trip.

Tralupo does not provide travel, medical, dietary, legal, financial, immigration or safety advice. Check official sources for visas, entry rules, health requirements and travel advisories, and take out your own travel insurance.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, missed bookings, missed transport, wasted expenditure, or loss of enjoyment of a trip, arising from your use of the Service — including where a plan turned out to be inaccurate or a venue was closed.

Our total liability to you for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or [LIABILITY CAP].

Nothing here excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability the law does not permit us to limit. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected, and some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case the exclusions above apply only as far as that jurisdiction permits.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the Service, or content you submit that infringes someone else’s rights. This does not apply to the extent the claim results from our own breach or negligence, and it does not apply where you are a consumer and the law would not permit it.

13. Ending this agreement

You can stop using Tralupo at any time, and you can delete your account and its data from within the app — see deleting your account. Remember to cancel any subscription separately through your Apple ID.

We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Where the circumstances allow it, we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to export or delete your data. Sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and governing law survive termination.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION / GOVERNING LAW], and the courts of [COURTS / VENUE] have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except that if you are a consumer you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence and keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections there.

If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service changes. The date at the top always reflects the current version. For material changes we will give notice in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Tralupo after that means you accept the updated terms; if you do not, stop using the Service and delete your account.
